Bold Geometric Garden
The developer owners of this stunning modern property wanted to enhance the setting of their new home. Working as the client completed the construction of the external areas; the layout was adjusted to improve the relationship between the house and garden. Semi mature plants and trees were introduced to create three distinct character areas. The shady areas around the house entrance were planted with lightly branched multi-stemmed trees under-planted with low growing evergreens. In the sunny rear garden, the geometry of the hard landscape was softened with bold drifts of herbaceous plants combined with grasses and bamboo, whilst ornamental varieties of woodland edge species were used to dramatic effect beneath the canopies of the existing trees in the new woodland glade.
